Art Gallery

I think I'm getting there. I still have a lot of ways to go though.

Currently getting perspective a lot more down, but consistency is still a challenge for me. I haven't done much with colors yet.

Some pieces here are protected against bots (notably ones that involve other people). Just click one of them to view it, and it won't ever bug you again.

black on white doodle. there's an anthro dino guy wearing a shirt, shorts, and propellor cap. they're also holding a lolipop.

Hah

How I feel when a NSFW artist reposts when my drawings (affectionate)

black on white doodle. there's an anthro-ish raptor dino guy holding a sword. they're small and cutesy.

Creature wielding sword

I have a sword!!

black on white doodle. there's an anthro dino guy sitting at a computer desk. they have the chair rotated facing away, and they're sitting parallel to the desk. they're leaning on the desk, saying "FUNKY FUNKY." the computer is open to the level in a dance of fire and ice.

Clankygator in pond

Art Fight Attack for clanky! A lot of figuring out perspective with this one. I also struggled to draw boobs... but overall I think it turned out quite good!

black on white drawing of an anthro dino guy. just the upper body. they're a little to the right, which kinda emphasizes their kinda large snout. they're wearing a plain shirt and a lanyard with a smiley face on it.

Badge

He's working somewhere. Or maybe he's at a convention. Or maybe working at a convention...

black on white doodle. it's some anthro dino guy, standing with a dynamic pose. has a bit of depth in it

Floating

Trying Krita again. Loving it again! Also tried a more dynamic pose, I think it's good! Def a bit to work on tho...

reference sheet for the my current sona Teran.

they're a mix of raptor an lizard. their pronouns are he/they, and they're mostly just a normal guy.

the character isn't entirely complete. experimentation is very welcome!

their head is sorta like a stylized dino snout. it's mainly a rounded rectangle. the snout narrows a tad at the end, they have two eyes on both sides of the head, and they have a slight overbite.

when their mouth opens, their upper-lip goes up, and their jaw tilts down. kinda like a dog. the drawing dosen't show teeth, but feel free to add teeth! i'm just not so great at drawing teeth yet.

now their body. they're 5 feet 5 inches. they have a sorta raptor-like appearance. they stand on two legs, have mostly typical arms, and have digitigrade legs (+3 agility). they have a medium-long sized tail. the tail's floaty, and it's pretty dynamic physics-wise.

their hands and feet have claws on them (+2 attack).

their typical outfit uses catppuccin mocha colors. they have a blue short-sleeve T-shirt (#74c7ec) and gray pants (#6c7086). they typically don't wear any shoes.

their skin color varies between white (#ebedf4) and black (#11111b). black is usually the default skin tone.

Teran Reference Sheet

Currently my sona!! I'm not too experienced with making reference sheets... I fear this may be overexplaining it

reference sheet for Multibots. they're a type of robot. they have a gray metallic rectangular head, with a screen on the front with large also gray bezels. on both sides of the head are dark gray plastic square thingies that extrude out slightly.

the screen is like OLED. black emits no light.

under the screen are three cameras. one in the center, and two on each side for 3d viewing.

multibots are really just a computer, but they can "connect" to willing souls to become sentient.

multibots don't need a soul. you can just remote control one, or literally just use the head as an all-in-1 desktop computer.

multibots have full control over their screen.

on both sides of the head (in the plastic thingies), and also on the bottom of the head, are unibot attachments. they're like the USB-C of body parts. you can plug in parts into them.

the bot has to eject unibot attachments themselves. it's also water resistant, as long as you don't eject or plug in anything.

a body, which is typically always plugged into the bottom of the head, is really just an attachment.

arm attachments are attachments inserted into both sides of the head to give them arms.

bots are charged via a unibot attachment port. they can go off 3 days on a single charge.

the tracks body type is a very common body type (every bot shown uses one.) it's a simple body with a bendable neck in all 3 degrees of rotation, and tracks for feet at the bottom. the feet work like a 360 degrees treadmill, so they can strafe. the feet can bend slightly as well.

dabric the robot is a character that i used to use as my sona in the past. they're quite witty and a little clumsy. their typical face is yellow (#ffd400) on black, with slightly large solid squares for eyes, and a simple pixelated mouth. their face is quite expressive, sometimes using different eyes or adding some simple eyebrows to indicate mood.

Multibot Reference Sheet

Cute robot!!

black on white digital drawing. it's the head of some robot creature, with a snout. the top of the head is a black screen, with eyes and nostrils. the bottom part is a white shell. the screen goes over the bottom part with some pointy teeth. on the back of the head are some sorta ear things that are perpendicular to the back of the head.

Robo thingy

Very much synth inspired. Like a rabbit, maybe? I dunno but it's cool

simple black on white drawing, with three doodles.

first one is the head of a dino guy, facing right, happy and shouting.

second one is another head of a dino guy looking left, with a blank expression.

third one is a lil box creature. it's a box, with the bottom part open with the side flaps visible. legs are coming out. the box has a face on it.

Art warmup and box guy

A bit of a period between drawing, so I just doodled a bit to start. Also this lil box creature thing

four simple black-on-white drawings done in paint.net, on a grid.

from top left to right:

head of an anthro dino guy, facing right and tilted a bit downwards. they're looking behind. they have a very slightly tired expression.

head of an anthro dino guy, pointing a bit upwards. they're looking up with a blank face.

head of an anthro dino guy, laying in bed with a blank expression. notably their eyes are drawn a lot simpler, just being a simple hollow circle.

head of an anthro dino guy. they're holding up a phone, smiling into it. their eyes are also drawn simpler.

Alert, ambient

Notably more rounded-off rectangular heads. They're quite good in here, I think.

a simple low-res pixelated drawing, scaled up to look nice. it's a portrait of some anthro lizard/dino guy, wearing a sweater(?) that says "yay". pastel rainbow stripes are overlaid, like the pride flag

Yay, Gay

A lil pride month drawing.

screenshot of my website's homepage, cropped to be in the dimensions of a card. at the bottom it says "dabric: developer, artist, designer", along with a simple illustration of some anthro dino head. at the top a bunch of scattered blue and black cursors, with the pixels being corrupted.

Unintentionally cool looking business card

A screenshot when working on my current website's homepage. The cursors got corrupted like that in light mode...but it looked cool

some drawings in mspaint. from top to bottom:

two simplistic dino heads perpendicular to each other. they're both looking forwards.

another set of two dino heads, standing back-to-back. the back one is simplistic and square like the above two heads, and the front one is more realistic being rounded off and having a more detailed eye.

three simple anthro dino guys walking forwards. they have a blank expression. their bodies don't resemble a dino in any way. just the head.

Some heads, and some guys walking

Playing with styles, trying to draw a body again. I think I did an awesome job with it.

art. simple pencil on paper drawing. it's a bust of a lizard guy with horns smiling. underneath is the text "true"

True

I don't draw much on paper. Wanted to give it a shot.

simple black on white mspaint dawing. it's two headshots of a kobold head. one with eyes like in Peanuts, and another with just a hollow circle for an eye.

Kobold test

Was with a friend, and they were teaching me their technique

mspaint drawing of a bust of a dragon-lizard-thing. their head is pointed upwards, and looking down at you. they're gray with some white horns.

the art style is different from the rest of my drawings. the line width is 1px, and there's actually some slight shading.

Different art style

Switching up art styles. (I had a blue-light filter on, and thought that the dark yellow was dark-gray.)

simple black-on-white mspaint drawing. it's a bust of a anthro goat saying "dragons"

Goat saying dragons

Goat saying dragons. More testing drawing a goat, this time facing more forward.

mspaint drawing. it's that sorting table from the udiprod sorting algorithm videos, but the balls are just kinda everywhere. there's a tiny dino guy reaching at the table with a ball on their head. there's only one match.

udiprod sorting table

Creature sorting algorithm. Trying their best

mspaint drawings. black on white, and somewhat rough.

first one. it's a bust of some dino guy, with a wired phone headset tangled around them. they look somewhat sad, saying "i can't fault you"

second one. it's the full body of some anthro reptile guy, with some squared off looking horns on the back of their head and a tail. there's a speech box to the right of them, positioned like they're saying it. it says "Playdate Hah more like idk man - 10/10!". the speech box has dotted lines to write on, and three metrics on the bottom. they're all at zero.

third one, at the bottom. it's some other dino/lizard guy, saying "there's kinda been a lot of goats recently; i don't really know why but they're cool". to the right of them is a drawing of a anthro goat.

Playdate - 10/10

Play A Dance of Fire and Ice - goats. Talk with people on Bluesky - goats. What does it mean?? Also successfully drawn a goat. There was also some more testing with bodies, but the proportions were quite off there.

black on white drawing in ms paint. four drawings of a raptor head, that are actually more proportionally correct.

the first one is just hem looking forward, smiling.

in the second one, they're smiling with their mouth open.

in the third one, they're smiling with their mouth closed. there's now a slight overbite.

in the forth one, they're smiling with their teeth showing.

More proportional raptors

A failed attempt to draw a goat accidentally made for a really good looking raptor headshape. I went along with the looks, adding more realistic looking eyes, nostrils, and even teeth.

black on white drawing in mspaint. it's four square-ish raptor heads, all aligned horizontally. the third one is a wireframe.

Wireframe

Playing with head shapes and perspective. Cool!

black on white drawing in ms-paint.

text on the left:
"potential improvements:

- pointy teeth

- snout narrows

- slight overbite

- those pointy things on the back of the head"

on the right are two drawings. it's some lizard/dino guy, with those said potential improvements. they have a slight overbite, the snout is more narrow, and they have two horn-like things angled downwards on the back of their head. they're looking backwards, supposedly at their horns

on the bottom they're saying, "horns? ears? i dunno but they're quite cool"

Head shape experiments

Experimenting with the head! Horns or ears on the back of the head like that were always cool to me.

black-on-white drawing in mspaint. it's a portrait of some lizard-dino guy with a letter in their mouth.

Mail bite

Hey!

black-on-white digital drawing done in paint. there's four portraits with a speech bubble in a 2x2 grid.

top left: a head of a robot with a perplexed face, similar to the emoticon "O_o". they're saying that emoticon "O_o".

top right: a simple dino guy talking with a neutral expression. they're saying "we should play something"

bottom left: another dino guy sleeping in a bed. they're saying "we should sleep"

bottom right: dino guy with some tears in their eyes and a frown. they're yelling in uppercase, "Here is my 'I can't go to FWA' Panic Playdate". "Panic Playdate" is somewhat humorously in proper title case. they're holding a Panic Playdate, which is a tiny portable game console.

My "I Can't go to FWA" Panic Playdate

I like this sorta format. Also some more perspective tests, like with the bed, facing more towards the camera, a slight tilt when the mouth is open... and a hand. (More...)

screenshot of the "doodle" program included with the microsoft mouse. it's a pretty plain looking--just some crude text buttons on the bottom, a color selector on the left, and a canvas above. the background is black, the text is white, and the drawing is in aqua.

there's a drawing on the canvas. there's some rectangular pillars, and some dino guy with the same shape of the pillars, raised higher than the rest. they're just looking forwards and smiling.

Pillars

Made on the Doodle program of the Microsoft Mouse. No undo, and no proper erase. (More...)

black-on-white mspaint drawing. it's a dino guy behind some tv-head robot (formally multibot). they both have slightly unamused expressions.

the dino guy is taller than the robot, and their head is slightly hovering over the robot's head.

Guys

Dino guy and Multibot guy. I like how this one turned out. Pretty cute. (More...)

some drawings in paint.

it's 5 portraits of some lizard/dino guy, with some decent 3d.

first column has two. one is tilted up, and the other is tilted down. there's text saying up and down, and arrows pointing up and down accordingly.

second column also has two. they're more expressive. the first one is tilted up, with them showing an annoyed expression and saying "not very flattering". the second one is tilted down, with them happy and saying "HELL YEAH". their mouth is open on both of them, to test drawing an open mouth.

third column just has one. they're looking left, slightly rolling their eyes, saying "it's not that bad".

Up, Down

Nailing perspective a bit more.

windows 2000 with a wide taskbar on the left. it sorta looks like a browser with vertical tabs enabled.

paint is open at "2025-04-18.bmp" with some doodles in frame. two lizard/dino heads, smiling, looking down. the left one has their head straight, while the right one has their head pointed slightly down. below are three 3d cubes, with varying length and tilt.

Weird Taskbar

Playing with perspective. Also some pretty round rectangle looking dinos. Also playing with the Windows 2000 taskbar. Kinda reminds me of the Arc Browser.

screenshot of an old version of macpaint running in classic macos.

there's a simple drawing. at the bottom is some lizard/dino guy, happy, showing a peace sign. there's a thought bubble: they're thinking "i love exploring old computers"

i love exploring old computers

MacPaint! This was another milestone in my art. Started to lean more into freeform drawing, and had a large realization with perspective. (This is what, the third time Apple has had an indirect impact on my art?)

some simple 1-bit low-res art.

there's a silhouette of some person walking. they have a semi-floating dino-like head. they're also lacking hands, instead being replaced with letters. left hand with "L", and the right hand with "R".

overlaid is a line graph and a white frame. the points slightly vary and are mostly high, and there's seemingly missing a point at the end. at the bottom right is the number "124".

Graph

More of giving meaning... and even more vague. Honestly, I don't like this one very much...

some simple 1-bit pixel line art. it's mostly all done with the line tool.

there's three portraits of some dino/lizard guys. left to right:

a 3d looking one. the snout is more narrowish and refined. they have a simple hollow circle as an eye, some nostrils, and a more w-shaped mouth. they're slightly grinning.

a more 2d one. the head is like a rectangle, but rounded off with diagonal lines. they have a round eye and blank expression. there's also a hand pointing right.

another 3d looking one. the head shape is a lot more boxy. they're more whimsical looking, with a single line for an eye. they also have a slightly happy expression, and they're wearing a cap hat.

Trio

Experimenting with head shapes, again. Mostly just using the line tool here. And made a really fucking good hand, god damn

simple black on white drawing, done in something like paint, implied to be drawn on a website, on april 1st.

it's some lizard guy at a computer desk, covering the monitor with their hands. they're looking at you surprised.

April 1st, 2025

Art-wise, this was the first time I started to really try more with perspective. The scrappyness made me less stiff. Maybe I should draw in this more. (More...)

screenshot of chrome's javascript console.

between the logs from various tooling (astro, vite, vue), there's an image logged. it's pixel art of a portrait of some dino guy, looking apathetic. they're saying "javascript."

javascript.

Using some trickery, you can log images into the browser console.

1-bit monochrome low-res image. it's some slightly stylized static, with a black rectangle in the center.

in the rectangle is some pixel art. from left to right: an upside-down lizard-dino head, smiling. the neck is seemingly extended parallel to the head. then, a standard plug disconnect icon. finally, a right-side-up lizard-dino head, frowning. the neck is seemingly extended perpendicular to the head.

Disconnect

Continuing with that 1-bit look and meaning thing. Kinda more subtle here. I also love the way the static came out.

2-bit black and white pixel art. at the bottom center is some creature, with only their head in frame, screaming. from their mouth spews the text "BASE RAISE LOWER"

on the sides are the numbers 1 - 6, in bubbles, with 1 being selected.

at the bottom left and right is the text "TYPE FOREVER" sideways. there are additional "~" lines, repeating until they meet in the middle, which puts them underneath the creature's head.

Layers

What if my art had more meaning? I was also enamored by the 1-bit Sharp Memory LCD on my Corne keyboard... it looks so damn good and I got hooked on the look of it.

some simple green vector art of a head of a dino-lizard thing with their mouth wide open.

Dynamically Rendered Creature Using Code

Was playing with the possibility of dynamically rendering a head for Teran to animate on my website.

digital doodle art in green colors in a low-resolution with aliasing on. it's some lizard guy walking up a slope in a rigid stance, pointing forwards. they have an antenna with waves coming out of it. all-caps text reads "loose the wires"

Wireless

Robot lizard wow!

doodle of some anthro lizard standing, on their phone, looking backwards, and smiling at you. above is some slanted text saying "11AM"

Me at 11am

Damn cute. Haha. This so good. (The feet's perspective is entirely wrong and it haunts me.)

Bunch of white on dark gray doodles. (lizard head implied)

One is a head smiling, looking upwards.

Another is a guy with a small body, kinda looking left with a locked in expression

Another is a head, with hair. They're smiling, while being a bit visibly uncomfortable.

One is the Wireless drawing. Another is the Me at 11AM drawing.

Another is a Multibot drooling.

At the bottom is one guy at a wide table. They're saying "you called?"

Script Shop

Oh man a lot. Playing with head shapes, body, and hair!! The bottom is a tiny mock-up of the script shop of my website. Still not done...

simple line art of a dino/lizard guy. they have a cap on, sunglasses, and a shirt that says "Cool Dude". they're facing forward and smiling, showing their sharp teeth.

Cool Dude

Pretty good lookin, I think. Much more rounded head.

a grid of doodles.

first one is a dino guy looking forward with big ol' eyes.

second one is them looking slightly right and looking down with a bit of a frown.

third one they're more rectangular, just have a dot for an eye, and an oddly long snout and mouth. there's a question mark above them.

fourth one, they're looking forward and are a bit tired.

fifth one, they're looking more forward with an angry expression. the style is a bit weird and oddly smooth and symmetrical.

sixth one isn't a dino at all. it's a mouse cursor with an hourglass

Random Krita Doodles

Some more playing with heads!!

simple line art drawing. a phone with ":3" on it is held up next to some lizard/dino guy facing forward. they have a blank expression and slightly oddly realistic eyes. under it says "You are not :3", with emphasis on "not".

You are Not :3

Not pretty good lookin

line art of some dino/lizard guys.

first one is a bust of just them looking meh.

second one of a portrait of them being surprised

third one of them with their head raised and them pointing forward

More Krita tests

More. Krita. Some neat head shapes. They're pretty cool! (But also feel kinda out of place?)

various doodles of some lizard/dino thing.

in rough left-to-right order:

a large portrait of them smiling with their eyes closed. they're glowing

very happy guy with their arms up and shiny symbols around them

a simple portrait with pretty black eyes

a portrait of a snake. next to it is text saying "yay"

a portrait of them looking down with some annoyed eyes

another one with annoyed eyes. this time the eyelash is actually there instead of being implied. kinda like the "ಠ_ಠ" emoticon

another one of being annoyed. their snout is overemphasized and they have some silly stretched-out eyes

last one, they're doing the thinking emoji expression (🤔)

Showcase

Started to use Krita. Some very nice software.

simple outline drawing of a portrait of a lizard/dino guy. there's an rgb effect applied

RGB Guy

More trying Blender. You can add post-processing effects with shaders. Neat!

some doodles of some lizard/dino guy. a few basic heads, one showing teeth, one angry, one with a long nose, and one looking away

Untitled

Wanting to try some freeform drawings, but I'm unsure of which software to use. Tried Blender.

some pixel art of a grid of 6 lizard-dino-type thing portraits.

1. they're green and smiling.
2. they're white-gray and exasperated.

3. they're angry and showing teeth.

4. they have a party hat on wrong with some question marks.

5. they have a blank face with their eyelids slightly down.
6. they're squinting.

More heads

Bumped up the resolution and went lineless. Some more expressions as well.

simple outlined monotone pixel drawings of various lizard-dino-like guy heads.

one just has a generic face. notably the chin is now flat.

there's another one of their head pointing up at 90 degrees with their eyes closed.

and another one, but only around 45 degrees up with their eyes closed.

and another, but looking down with their head slightly tilted.

there are two more portraits, both slightly angled instead of the usual side view. one they're angry showing some teeth, and another with an annoyed expression with their mouth open.

Heads

Experimenting with heads. Also refined the shape a bit more... def an improvement overall. Turned out so, so well I think

simple outlined monotone pixel drawings of a lizard-dino-like guy.

at the top are three of them with tweaked bodies. like some are slighty wider or slighty thinner. his face expression is blank and slightly aggregated looking.

on the bottom is one where he's giving the thumbs up with the same face expression.

at the bottom right is another one, but just from the chest up. he's smiling and wearing a shirt

Trying to get a body going

Trying. It didn't turn out so well!

simple outlined monotone pixel drawing of a series of messages with portraits of some lizard-dino-like guy.

person 1: [joyfully smiling] "yay!"

person 2: [joyfully smiling]
person 1: [angry, showing teeth] "grrr!"

person 2: [looking away] "geeez..."
person 1: [looking away, sad] "sorry..."

person 2: [eyes closed] "it's ok."

[person 2 shows a bug on their hand]

person 1: [looking down with a blank expression] "..."
person 2: [smiling] "isn't it tiny?"

Bug

More expressions! And trying a hand. I was very inspired by hyphen's art around this time... some of my favorites involve small interactions similar to this. (More...)

simple outlined monotone pixel drawing of some portraits of a lizard guy. notably, he now has more expressive eyes.

from left to right:

a portrait of him looking annoyed.

a portrait of him looking annoyed and rolling his eyes while slightly closing them, saying "i'm tired."

a portrait of him with his eyes closed.

a portrait of him again rolling his eyes, this time more open. he says "what?"

underneath all of those cluster of portraits is an additional portrait of him smiling, saying "this will work out!"

I'm tried

Playing with some head shapes! Also came up with a smooshed version of Arial. I was also a little down at the time... so I got some joy in there

simple outlined monotone pixel drawing of an anthro sorta-lizard trying to hold up a couch above their head with two arms. while successful, they're visibly strained

I'm strong

Trying to hold up a couch!!

simple outlined monotone pixel drawing of an anthro lizard wearing a wizard hat with with a w and pointing downwards. they're smiling

Wizard Lizard

Quite a milestone in my art. Gave myself a higher resolution to work with. Was inspired by the Macbook Touch Bar internally calling itself "WizardLIzard".

grayscale pixel art. inktober theme: boots

it's the small dino guy again! this time, he's inside of a boot trying to cross a small river.

on the side is like a tic-tac fellow with long legs wearing boots. it's kinda like the main character from pikuniku, but the proportions are a bit off as i was just doodling

Inktober 2024 - Boots

...and now he crosses a river! Randomly banged with those boots.

pixel art. inktober theme: discover.

same dino from before. still wearing a backpack, but now holding a box with "!!!" on it above his head.

on the side is a larger box saying "AYYY" with one flap open. light is coming out of it

Inktober 2024 - Discover

...and he found a box!

grayscale pixel art. inktober theme: backpack.

a backpack with legs and a smiley face. in one frame, the backpack opens from the center (not like a regular backpack), and an arm comes out with a pistol! in another frame, they got out their phone reading a text saying "nah"

on the side is a lil dino fella with a backpack walking on a trail

Inktober 2024 - Backpack

Trying Inktober. He's on a journey.

a raptor/dino guy sitting on a dock. modeled similarly to minecraft. it's all monotone and has some vector-ish outline shader applied over it.

Teran sit

Sitting at a dock. Was used for my website's homepage for a while.

three white on black drawings of a very scrappy dino anthro guy. one holding a pizza, another looking down sad, and another just lacking a hand.

dino.pdn

A file I don't remember. Probably trying to draw Teran?

minecraft skin. black lizard with claws and a sleepy expression, wearing a cyan shirt and gray pants. no shading and has a pastel-ish color scheme

Teran Minecraft skin

One of my friends made me a skin based on my profile picture. I tweaked it a lot. Also indirectly kicked off an era for me. (More...)
